Reactive Content has been Successful Following a more reactive structure on social media has proven to be extremely successful for the NCSPC-UK channels. So far, reactive content has gained an average of 80% more organic impressions and 63% more organic engagements than planned content per post. Short FormVideo Continues to Grow Looking at the organic performance of different types of posts, it is apparent that video content performs better. On average, the NCSPC UK video content gains 1,244% more impressions and 63% more engagements than regular static image posts with posts on TikTok generally gaining higher engagement than any other channel. Moving Away from TikTok Advertising While paid advertisements on TikTok generated high impressions, it impacted organic content performance (as seen across the whole platform and not just our channel). Since removing TikTok ads from the budget, the NCSPC UK TikTok channel has experienced organic growth with 4 out of 5 of the most engaged UK posts of the year being TikTok posts. Paid Social Media is Successful in Aiding Audience Growth This year, there was a slight dip in total followers as a result of reduced social media spending being allocated to this area. Since resuming targeted follower advertising in March 2024, follower growth has started to increase. Paid advertising is essential for maintaining a social following in today's social media landscape. Going forward, follower growth, impressions, and engagements will continue to be a focus when allocating paid spend.
