2024 - Your Commission at Work
Website
We stopped creating new digital activity on the existing website until the new website was launched. SEO (Search Engine Optimization), PPC, and other traffic-driving activities are important in directing people to our website, and regular website updates are vital in keeping them on the page, therefore without this activity, the total website visits are lower than we expect it will be going forward. Once the new site launches we can commence directing people to the site, we anticipate an upsurge in traffic and user activity. Website Requires Regular Updates During 2023/24 we have focused most digital attention on progressing with the new European website build, keeping updates to a minimum on the existing European site (throughout the year we have uploaded and optimized content but have not undertaken a huge amount of traffic driving activity, as we didn’t want to send traffic to a soon to be replaced site). This hands-off approach to website management has shown us that we will need to invest time in the new build to improve SEO rankings and engagement rates on site, as we do not naturally reach our KPIs without proactive traffic driving and updates on site. Google Search is a Key Future Traffic Driver Traffic from organic search (Google) was the most engaged on the French site. While the number of visitors from this channel was low (due to the above point on regular updates) we expect a large increase in organic search rankings- and in turn traffic – when the new website is live. Likewise, traffic from organic search (Google) was the most engaged on the UK site. While the number of visitors from this channel was low (again, due to the above point on regular updates) we expect a large increase in organic search rankings- and in turn traffic – when the new website is live
Organic Social is a Key Current Traffic Driver In France, organic social media is a key current traffic driver for the French website, with over 50% of all sessions coming from organic social channels, this is more than any other channel.
German Website Visitors are Engaged with Site Content When compared to France and UK figures, German website visitors were more engaged once on site – with average engagement time per session and overall engagement rate on site being higher in Germany than it was in France and the UK. German Website is the Most Popular in EU The German website saw more overall visitors than France and the UK combined. This is primarily because Germany has more organic search rankings on Google, so there's a more consistent flow of traffic to the site compared to the UK and France. This reinforces key learnings from UK and France markets that organic search will be a key future traffic driver.
