Dog Recipe Cookbook V5

WHAT YOU NEED: • 1 cup mashed NC sweetpotatoes (about 1.5 sweetpotatoes) • 2 ½ cups whole wheat flour • 1 tsp baking soda • 2 eggs • Crushed dog treats

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: • Cookie scooper • Dog bone cookie cutter

WHAT YOU DO: 1. Peel sweetpotatoes and dice into 1-inch cubes. 2. Boil until soft, about 20 minutes. 3. Drain and mash. 4. Add the whole wheat flour, baking soda, mashed sweetpotatoes, and eggs to a bowl and combine. (Dough will be very thick.) 5. Take it out of the bowl and knead with your hands. 6. Sprinkle in your dog’s favorite crushed treats. 7. Flatten to about half an inch and use the cookie cutter to cut out dog bone cookies. 8. Place them on parchment paper on a baking tray. 9. Knead the leftover dough together, flatten, and cut. (Repeat until you are out of dough.) 10. Bake at 350F for 20 minutes. 11. Let cool and enjoy!
